One of the 5 goals of the Cape Cod Climate Change Collaborative is to “Develop a set of Cape-wide benchmarks for reducing dependence on fossil fuels.” These benchmarks are specific to each town, and are designed to help the towns track how they are doing against of number of measures. Since each town is different (e.g., some towns do not have access to natural gas, and towns differ in the mix of industry vs. residential use or in the percentage of the population that lives on the Cape and Islands year-round, we encourage each town to develop their own benchmarks that they would like to track in the coming years. Please contact us to obtain details.
