SUMMARY:Shifting Tides: An Enlightening Film about Climate Change
DESCRIPTION:Shifting Tides\, a film by Angela McNerney \nIf you want humanity to change\, you don’t start with “convincing” in a purely logical sense — you look to change the emotional stakes\, reshape social norms\, and redesign the environment so new behavior has a path of least resistance. In the thought-provoking documentary\, Shifting Tides\, filmmaker Angela McNerney asks us to look at the need to change the way we talk about climate change with the hope that a shift in perception may give way to a more productive and exciting way forward. The words ‘climate change’ have become almost taboo in today’s discourse – whether it’s received as an overwhelming topic or a misunderstanding as to what it really means\, this film reminds us of the preciousness of the Earth and provides the start of a good conversation. \nThis film was funded in part by Lower Cape TV and Mass Humanities \nQ&A to follow.
