Do you live on Cape Cod? Do you have a passion for addressing local housing and climate challenges while supporting your local municipality? Interested in connecting with a young person who is passionate about working to address these issues?
MassHCIC is a non-profit working to do just that! They are hiring 5 interns who will need housing this summer, and are looking for folks who could host them for the duration of the program (June 13- August 7)!
To learn more about this opportunity, visit masshcic.org/all-star-internship or contact their Program Administrator, Adèle Giovanniello adele@masshcic.org for more information.
Who Are the Cape Cod All-Stars?
The All-Stars Program provides an opportunity for college students (Graduate and Undergrad) and Cape Cod towns/organizations to work together on housing and climate initiatives throughout the region. Students spend a summer with a host family on the Cape, and using our sponsor, Cape Cod Community College’s facilities and resources to accomplish two main goals. The first, is to develop their own research project at the intersection of affordable housing, environmental sustainability, and/or climate resilience. The second aspect our our internship involves each pair of interns to be partnered with a town on the Cape. Through this partnership, interns collect data on municipal assets, pair those with potential climate/housing tech innovators who can pilot test a solution, and complete any other town projects/initiatives related to housing, energy, or climate.
