The annual election of Old Kings Highway Commissioners spotlights a town commission charged with the preservation and protection of buildings, settings and places within the boundaries of Orleans’ section of the Old Kings Highway Historic District, the entire area north of Route 6. The OKH Commission works with homeowners to ensure that decisions regarding building exteriors meet Commission standards designed to preserve and protect the buildings, settings, and places in their purview.
