On April 26, 2022, the Chatham Energy & Climate Action Committee (E&CAC) gave an update presentation tonight to the Select Board . Following up from the December 2021 presentation on the potential economic impacts of climate change on Chatham. Committee Chair Bob Wirtshafter (also a Chatham CAN member), accompanied by E&CSC member Sarah Griscom (also Chatham CAN member) reviewed the work done by the E&CAC investigating and assessing the many risks that the town faces from unaddressed climate change impacts. The E&CAC urged the Select Board to approve formation of a cross-departmental working group to review and prioritize the E&CAC’s recommendations for form a Climate Action Plan for Chatham.
